2024 Archery Alberta Outdoor Target Provincials (Double 720 & Field)

August 30 – September 1, 2024

Official results can be found at Archery Alberta and we have included a copy of them below as well.

The event is now complete and want to thank all those that participated. We certainly hope you enjoyed the entire weekend and the facilities at the Sherwood Park Archery Club.  The weekend included a Friday practice, a Double 720 on the Saturday and Field competition on the Sunday.  Congratulations to all those that placed with podium finishes and to those that set new provincial records.

Alberta Wildlife Stories 3D Shoot

The event is now over and we wanted to thank all those who participated. We certainly hope you enjoyed the entire weekend.  The weekend included four loops, vendor tables, steel target challenge, raffles, food and making new friends.  The club will be following up with a survey for some feedback.  Also please post your pictures on Facebook/Instagram and tag the club. All the pictures and videos we had have been loaded onto our Facebook site.  We look forward to seeing some exciting upgrades at the range and are excited to have everyone back so we can share these with you at an even bigger fun shoot on the same long weekend in 2025!

720 Rounds

A 720 Round is an outdoor target round of 72 arrows.

For Recurve archers – targets are placed at the following distances: 70m, 60m, 50m, and 30m. Depending on your age category you would shoot your recurve bow at the following distances (please also note the specific target size as well).

      • 70m for Senior and Junior Men and Women (on 220cm targets)
      • 60m for Master and Cadet Men and Women (on 220cm targets)
      • 50m for Cub Men and Women (on 122cm Targets)
      • 30m for Pre-Cub Men and Women (on 122cm Targets)

For Compound and Para-Archery Compound and Para-Archery W1 archers – targets are placed at the following distances: 50m, 40m, and 30m. Depending on your age category, you would shoot your compound bow at the following distances (please also note the specific target size as well).

      • 50m for Master, Senior, Junior, and Cadet Men and Women shot on the 80cm 6-ring face
      • 50m for Para-Archery W1 Men and Women shot on the 80cm full face
      • 40m for Cub Men and Women shot on the 80cm full or 6-ring face
      • 30m for Pre-Cub Men and Women shot on the full 80cm face.

Your age category is based on your age as of December 31st in the year you are shooting in an event. Age categories are as follows:

Master 50 or more,

Senior any age,

Junior 20 or less

Cadet 17 or less,

Cub 14 or less,

Pre-Cub 12 or less,

      • Gates open at 8:30 AM. If you intend to shoot in the afternoon only, be sure to arrive at site by 12:30 PM
